How to Become a Millionaire

Believe it or not, there are still people out there who believe in the law of attraction. The origin of this pseudo science is often credited to Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich.”

When you run across people who passionately defend the theories of the law of attraction, ask them one simple question. “How is that working out for you?”

According to Napoleon Hill, auto-suggestion lies at the core of getting rich. By the way, today, the word auto-suggestion has been replaced with affirmations.

The entire premise of Napoleon Hill’s formula can be summarized thus; decide the exact amount of money that you want to earn. Write it down on a piece of paper. Believe that you already have the money. In due time, the money will come to you.

The supposed role of affirmations is to get you to believe that, you are already in possession of the money. Napoleon Hill had people repeating ridiculous mantras like “I am wealth”, “I am a producer”, “I am etc, etc.”

This clown actually sold millions of “Think and Grow Rich” books, influencing just as many people. But his misleading legacy didn’t end in the 1970s. In fact, it is still ongoing.

The law of attraction is the bastard son of Napoleon Hill’s wreckage.

In 2007, the Australian bimbo, Rhonda Byrne took the world by storm with her wealth creation package, “The Secret”. The packages flew off the shelves faster than the Harry Potter books.

The premise of “The Secret” was even more preposterous than Napoleon Hill’s assertions.

Rhonda Byrne told people that all they needed to do, in order to get rich, was to think about it. She claimed that, at the sub-atomic level, your thoughts could communicate with material objects.

Rhonda Byrne also claimed that she had uncovered a hidden law of the universe that had been used by wise men for ages. The law states that, “like attracts like”.

Hence, your thoughts will attract the desired object (car, villa, yacht) because at the sub-atomic level, your thoughts and the object are alike.

This is the esoteric pile of horse cr*p that got promoted by mainstream media heavyweights like Oprah Winfrey. In 2007, the CNN legend, Larry King was still active. He too joined the bandwagon.

When horse sh*t like “The Secret” makes its way into the mainstream media; then you know that, it is time to switch off the TV.

Say goodbye to all those hyped up infomercials on TV, selling packages that promise to teach you to get rich selling classified ads or flipping properties.

There is one underlying theme among all these schemes. They promise to help you get rich effortlessly. They are appealing to the natural human desire to maximize utility i.e. prosperity without work.

The same human desire that makes people love freebies is responsible for making people love prosperity without work.

If you habour the faintest trace of this desire, you might as well return to your mind-numbing TV programs. There is no such thing as SOMETHING FOR NOTHING.

What it takes to Get Rich

Getting rich requires an incredible amount of hard work. It takes arduous effort over a sustained period.

You won’t get rich by repeating physical motions that have been discovered by someone else. The formula to get rich is not contained in some book or get rich scheme.

You will only get rich by relying on YOUR OWN MIND. You must think. Figure things out and implement them. Books might give you an idea, but you’ll have to add your own twist, in order to get rich.

A training course might give you some skills, but you’ll have to find a new angle to implement those skills.

Take out some time and hammer this into your head. “You cannot get rich by repeating the physical motions that have been discovered by someone else.”

The formula to get rich is not contained in any book or coaching program. It is located right between your ears. You will never get rich, if you do not put that organ between your ears to use.

Thinking Your Way into Riches

Human beings are creatures of volitional consciousness. Thinking does not occur automatically, you must consciously choose to think.

Most people are in a perpetual state of flux. Their muddled consciousness is constantly flowing from one daydream to another. They believe that, they are thinking but they are actually daydreaming zombies.

Thinking is the process of identification. Your mind is guided into this process by asking the question: what am I supposed to be thinking about right now?

When you discover that you are daydreaming, the way to control your mind is not through affirmations; rather, by asking the question: WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BE THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Once you get into the details, you’ll have to start asking the question; how? For example, if you choose to make money in affiliate marketing; then, you need to know how to build and promote websites.

During the process, you’ll have to start asking, “how questions”.

How do I do this, how do I do that?

The important thing to remember is that the mind is controlled by asking questions and not by affirming BS.
